Market Summary:

Fort Lee serves as the focal point for Army Logistics and provides support to U.S. Army Joint and Coalition operations around the world.  It is home of the Combined Arms Support Command, U.S. Army Garrison, Army Logistics College, Quartermaster Center and School, and the headquarters for the Defense Commissary Agency.

Market Demographics:

It is home for nearly 3,200 military personnel and equally as many Families’ members, 600 single Soldiers and 2,300 Families off post.  On any given day, between 3,000 and 4,200 students are trained here.  Most of the students attend one of nine Advance Individual Training (AIT) courses here at the Quartermaster Center and School (QMC&S).  However, officers, warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and civilians also attend classes at the QMC&S and the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC).  Students are also enrolled in the distance learning courses offered through ALMC and the post trains more than 35,000 students annually.  Our Military Community serves a population of over 40,000.  We are a 100% employed post, including 3,000 civilian employees.  Each year, Fort Lee contributes over $700 million to the local economy.

Market Trends:

With the BRAC program coming to Fort Lee, we expect to see increasing populations both on and off post.  Our facilities will continue to improve and grow to meet the needs of our new Soldiers.  Events and activities will expand to include the new Families, both active duty military and civilians, as well as continue to serve current and retired military personnel.  Our surrounding communities are responding to this need as well, growing in education facilities, retail shops and restaurant and entertainment venues.

Purchase a Home

Financial Freedom comes from having cash flow to do what you want, when you want. Owning a home is one of the surest ways to build wealth. You may want to consider using your BAH to invest in yourself through home-ownership. Both officers and enlisted personnel have used this approach to reduce their tax burden, provide a house for their family, increase their net worth and choose where they would like to live rather than being told "where to live."

Click here for area home listings.
